Q:

Scope up front

On an AF rifle. Like a pistol scoped Benji 392 styled rifle?

Could get the sight height down a little. Anyone run this config before?

on powder burners, it is called a scout setup and is somewhat popular with guys using heavy caliber rifles for dangerous game. gives a more open view of your target as it charges, since you have a clear wide field of vision with both eyes open- plus you avoid cut eyebrows if you “crawl the scope”. can’t really see an advantage with an airgun but that’s just me.

Benneboy,

A canted Etac will also give you a lower scope weld.

Ya I don’t have that problem. Just more an idea to generate closer “on” shots. For the 1/2″ I could just shoot at 800fps. I already use medium rings and like the feel. I have short arms. 😆

I just measured and it would net you a good 1/2″

Good idea, gets the horizontal cross hair just above the top rail. Can you get your eye down that low. Looks like you would need high/xtra high rings to work.

I have used medium height rings on the top rail, which was Ok for level shooting, but no good for shooting up into the trees

Believe I would use one of the reflex red dot sights on the top rail?

Sam 🙂
