Scopes+edgun elevation range?
Hi all,
Is it common to run close to the limit of downward clicks on the elevation (vertical) knob? I was sighting in my r3 and I almost bottomed out on the clicks. I got the target on my crosshairs at 25 yards. Fortunately, my scope has mildots. It’s not a huge deal. I’m just curious if this has happened to a y of you.

Are you using high mount rings? And at what yardage is your zero set at?
Low profile rings will make a difference or a set of canted scope rings (20 moa).
On my USFT with medium QR Leupold rings I have to run 97 clicks (close to the limit of my scope as mounted) at ten yards (with a 32 yard zero) if I drop my ring height by .25″ I reduce the clicks to 84 at ten yards.
I’m running a field target setup (10-55 yards) with a 20 moa scope rail cant.
Do you use Chairgun? I thought it was a joke for the longest time, started field target and found it to be almost perfectly on in terms of clicks needed to set the crosshairs on target.
It worked with my Accushot 8-32x & 6-24x as well as my Nikko 10-50x…

Actually if you give me the following information I can plot out your rifle setup in Chairgun…
1. Scope height above barrel, or the following.
a. Barrel outside diameter (shroud)
b. scope outside diameter at muzzle end and
c. it’s height above the barrel (shroud).
2. Pellet weight
3. Pellet name (so I can get the BC)
4. Pellet velocity
5. Overall shooting range (for example 25-150 yards) and output intervals for click readings (every yard, every five yards, every ten yards).
Let me know if any of this (the scope height above bore centerline) is too confusing and I can make notes on one of your photos and post it…
