SCUBA tank & fill suggestions
Some “newbe” questions for TA at large….
Over the weekend I acquired a Luxfer SO80 tank (garage sale) for – literally – pennies on the dollar. The SCUBA tank (ST) is spec’d as 3000psi @ 77.4 cubic ft and was purchased new last year (original buyer filled/used only once).
From a fill standpoint… If the AF tank (AFT) is rated @ 490cc, how many AFT fills will I get from the ST? I see that its equivalent cc value is 2180397cc; but I seriously doubt that that equates to 4449 fills 😉
Does anyone have a chart showing when pressure equalization is sufficiently met to warrant ST refill? BAR or PSI?
Furthermore… If the ST is rated to 206 BAR and the condor (and AFT) are rated significantly higher, how does one attain the higher pressure? Hand pump to top it off? Is this really necessary?
As for the AFT… What are the major differences to be aware of/take into consideration between the High-flow and the Regular tanks?
I know, I know… Lots of questions for a Monday morning, right? 😀
Thanks in advance for your insights!!

I intend to do all of the above: Hunt, punch paper, and generally plink where/when I get the opportunity. I have access to several pieces of property for ‘ground squirrel management’ purposes which, up ’till now, have been solely the dominions for my .223 and .22-250.
You see…
The lib-nutbag neighbors adjacent to one property apparently bitched so much to the owner about the noise “…echoing up through the canyon…” toward their house (disturbing their soy latte, yoga, mind expansion sessions, I’ll wager) that he asked if there was a way I could be a bit less obvious while there shooting. To which I suggested that the neighbors shove their heads up their a$$es in order to deaden the report noise. 😆 Although he thought that funny, he responded with, “What about a pellet gun?”
Now, I’ve not owned a pellet gun since my multi-pump Crossman back in the mid-’70s. His suggestion, and my initial findings on PCPs, has led me down this primrose path to my Condor purchase.
A chrony you ask? Yessir, I do have one and fully intend to put it to good use testing out which pellets to feed the bird.
As an aside, I take solace in the thought that a true, live flying condor may actually be cleaning up the little dead beasties collected up and left out on the properties (I gotta be sure I don’t leave any wwith lead in ’em!!). I liken it to: “Do’in my part for the environment!” 8)
Thx for the fill suggestions!!
