Definitely get a SCBA rather than a SCUBA tank. I got my used one from Joe Brocanto. Occasionally you see a good deal on the Yellow classifieds. I saw 3 CF tanks and fill line go for 500. That was a very good deal as someone could have purchased all 3 and sold the other 2 to break even.

I personally like using Joe’s microbore hose because it doesn’t hold a lot of volume and it’s very flexible (decreases the chance of bending/kinking and causing stress riser/rupture in the line).

Scuba divers don’t really use the carbon fiber tanks because of their positive buoyancy issues. Steel tanks allow them to use less weights on their weight belt, they would have to just about double their weight belt size with a CF tank. You can find the CF tanks online @ http://www.airhog.com among other places. They aren’t cheap that’s for sure, but when they fill to 4500 PSI, you get a lot of fills with it. You could also use 2 regular dive tanks and cascade them. Use one as your main fill, then use the other one to top off the tank.

im going to check out a couple of the scuba shop in miami to see if they have 4500 psi tanks, they should with all this water round here 🙂 hope its not more than $350

Buy to used 80 cf tanks and fill to 3200 psi Cascade fill and get 20 or more fills. I paid $100 each. Works for me.

I fill to 3300psi on the SCUBA tank and 2500psi on a Talon (where my most consistant shot range is) and get aprox. 35 refills using 1 tank.

Now, if you used 2 tanks, like o7condor22, you can over double that number and if you used a pump for the last 100psi which takes no time, you could get over 100 fills .

I never owned a 410, so do not know where the best fills would be, but if you fill all the way to 3000, you may want-
1- larger tank
2- a higher pressure tank
3- a larger and higher pressure tank
4- Nitrogen at 6000psi, that would be the best IMO, unless you have a compressor.

Buy two used 80 cf tanks and fill to 3200 psi Cascade fill and get 20 or more fills. I paid $100 each. Works for me.

how many psi is in your 80cuft tank ?

if your gonna purchase a tank i strongly reccomend you look at a tank with 4350psi (300 bar) or a 4500 psi tank !

with a regular 3000 psi tank you will get one allmost 3000 psi fill….and the rest of the fills will be below 3000 psi….the 410 likes about 2800 psi, so you will be able to get about 10 good fills out of a tank…and then be below optimum fill pressure

however a luxfer 106 cuft tank with 4350 psi in it will give you a ton of full fills….i would say 50 fills…someone can prolly do the exact math for ya

if money is the problem, consider a 3500 psi 130 cu.ft tank in steel, they are used by divers and can be had pretty cheep, and will give you alot of fills too…but it is heavy as hell

pumping air rifles suck…..but dont get a 3000-3200 regular scuba tank…

congrats on the 410….i sold mine about 1 year ago….regrettet it ever since…i thought a rapid could replace it…it cant….the 410 is great rifle…..and thanks to YN for spotting an ad on the yellow forum so now i got a 410 carbine on its way….cant wait till it gets here…those rifles are awesome….
