Q:

scuba tank dolly

Has any one built a dolly for there scuba tank. I’m going to make the switch from CO2 to air and don’t have the money for the CF tank so it will more than likely be a steal or aluminum. Price pending of course.
I see that Walkon has a strap sling handle thing on his CF. And I would also like some thing like that. If the dolly doesn’t come with a side handle. Any help would be great. Thanks P:

Well that’s exactly what I want too. I’m going to have that back a long time. Might as well take care of it.

Some may think it looks a little strange but it sure makes it easier on my back!!

that is one hell of a sweet setup you’ve got there randy.

Built mine with a strap then added a couple of cheap wheels total cost around 15 bucks I also have a carry strap for my aluminum tank.

And it gives you a place to keep score too. 8)

Here is my golfcart invention. Picked the cart up for $5 bucks, then a bit of dissassembly and relocation of parts and I have my CF tank dolly. Folds easily for storage or transport. The last pic is just my other tank with a $5 dollar scuba.com carry strap.

Thanks 22
I will look into the golf thing. In fact I thing I have one in the shed.
I also thought about cannibalizing some rolling luggage. I like the collapsible handle.

I have seen some guys use a golf caddy for SCUBA tanks, you know the one’s with wheels. You find them very cheap used. As for my SCBA tank I made a strap with velcro and a old SCBA harness that works good. The SCBA tanks are light.
