Second fixing point on Edgun stock
I talked to Tony earlier today, putting in an order for a standard 22 R3M. I asked him about the second fixing point at the rear of the stock, he replied that the two that he has do not have this. Should I wait for the next shipment? Is it worth the wait?

Crickets are near perfect. AOA needs a little work…. I guess for very precise competition shooting you may want to upgrade the barrels on these guns but if you are happy with <= 1/2″ at 50Y you won’t be disappointed.
I’ve been checking out the Cricket it seems on par, and with AOA having a sale I could get all the bells and whistles. Any major problems? Yesterday was the first really nice day here in central Oregon and my trigger finger is getting itchy.
ED has posted recently that he is still trying to make the cycling of the R3M becoming smoother meaning that some work is still needed :confusedn:
I don’t know though if he is working currently on version MK III or MK IV of the R3M :fishinghole:

If you want something immediately then take your time and read carefully the threads on TAG.
Apparently the latest versions of both BC and R3M are having some issues….
As much as I would agree with you, – I think Ed himself has confirmed now that all new Matadors have the two fixing points. Important or not, – the Edgun Russian forum is also reporting of issues related to the “bedding” of the action in the stock on some of the guns………
While one or two fixing points may be irrelevant, – what should be relevant is whether a new buyer is getting the latest model or not…… 😉
That said, all my Matadors are behaving as they should. Just like yours. And they would easily outshoot most of my other guns (and I have a few….. 😳 😳 😳 😳 )….

There is more to it than just the point of attachment. Where do u think tony got all of them single shot breeches ?
I’m surprised you guys think this is so important. I have a R2.5 .22, early R3 .25 and R3 .30; only the .30 has the 2nd fix point, and I don’t think it makes a big difference.

More important than fixing point is whether its a MKI or a MKII release of the Matador. The fixing point may be solved by the user. Conversion from MKI to MKII is a totally different ballgame….. 😉

Yes I would wait too. Members who have the older stock model complain of the action rocking in the stock that did not have the second fixing point.

If i was to buy one i would wait. I’m betting he’s getting full price for it too. maybe if it was highly discounted id buy it.

Nice, I’m leaning in the direction of the Cricket ,I’ll do some more homework and decide if I can wait for the next shipment to Tony.
