second shot string condor please advise
Okay, this time I shot outdoors under sunny skies with the light diffusers on. Same starting pressure 2800psi, and same power wheel setting: 4. Same pellets 28.4 ej’s.

shots 41 through 50 were taken at a 30 yard target and the first three were hole touching hole, as were the last 3, and the 10 shot group was two inches.
Ending pressure after 50 shots was approx. 1,350 psi.
So tell me, please, since I had 10 out of the forty shots through the crony read either err -or- some erroneous high number…is my crony messed up, or is this average for a shooting crony beta?
Also, please offer any advise on the rest of the shot string, what do you think masters, grasshopper is in need of direction 😆

What is your top hat set at? Are you shooting early morning or late evening? Guys, couldn’t too much angle of the sun cause these errors?

Next chance I get, I will crony a lower power co2 rifle to see if it suffers from the same high readings. If it does, then I will contact them and see about a replacement. I was at least three feet back when I cronied the condor, and I had nothing over the muzzle. I can re try from five feet away, but It is much easier for me to crony the co2 one first. I had a few of my neighbors in an uproar. One lady screamed when she heard the first shot. I have a privacy fence and this amplifies the already loud condor. Any recommendations on artificial incandescent lighting besides spending the 35.00 for the kit from pyramid. I would be able to do much more testing if I was indoors. (how far from the sky shades should the lights be mounted, how many watts should the bulbs be??? I suppose I could try to emulate the kit pyramid sells, I couldn’t find any pics of it mounted, I will keep looking. Thanks!
do you have anything on the frame or barrel to dissipate the muzzle blast? I’ve had some very high readings from the blast of air and no shroud, try backing up just a wee bit more and try it out.

If all else fails, try changing out the battery with a known good one. Ensure it’s Alkaline
Yes, if it’s a Shooting Chrony cleaning the sensors are easy. To take the black cases apart is as simple as unscrew three screws on each case. The clear plastic film is just to protect the actual sensor from dust and debri should one accidently shoots out their Chrony. 😆

Mine will toss out errors but that is because I run indoors with poor light, but it never gives oddly high readings…
Does anyone know if the angle of the sun on the sensors will cause poor operation? 😯
Give it a few more chances and if you’re still getting the odd high MV reading then if it’s a Shooting Chrony give them a call and see what they have to say about it.
Ditch the chrony.
I have never had high readings ever. Only the err1 err2 as indicated from not shooting over the sensor or from poor light.
No way for a digital counter to generate excess numbers unless the thing is crapola…..
I was shooting by myself and my muzzle was a good three feet away from the crony.
Error 1 is the front sensor, Error 2 is the rear sensor… too much, not enough light. You’ll need to move the Chrony a bit.
High velocity??? how close where you shooting to the Chrony? Where you shooting beside a powderburner who fired a shot the same time you did? If so then the muzzle blast from the powderburner will give you those high MV numbers.
