Shiney Thing !!!
Start of new project ,this being a lump of 128x70x30 6082 T6 alloy for my 8 shot rotary mag bullpup. Ive got to put a 14mm hole all the way through this on my tiny lathe for the probe and barrel to line up and a 15mm x 90mm deep hole for the hammer to travel . This all done on an 8″ lathe is going to be scary ! ๐ฏ
Putting it in a four jaw chuck on a 6mm hold is looking the only way of machining it .Its going to be quite a mass to swing at any speed but il see ๐
So as with the last gun this is going to take an absurd amount of time to complete and very likely to drag on for far too long. It may also be a no starter if i cant machine these to holes but arfter spending 4 months finalizing the drawings i realy want to give it a go .So L8ter all …….Much Later hehe ๐

But there is more to follow because ” South ” kindly gave me drawings for a S200 regulator which im part way through building , just forgot to post pics. Got to buy some stuff too complete which gose hand in hand with how much work ive got……its a bummer !. Il have to give in a buy a chron to post some figures , its just such a boring piece of equipment to waste my cash on !.
As far as the encore …..im working on that ( its taking along time damit ) …….your just have to stay tuned in ……
So il be back when ive got some time / money……damit. ๐ฟ
As you already know (true craftsmen always know the error that no others ever can see) , great bit of work.

So ive started on the technical probs with my T4. First of these was that it didnt shoot straight at differant distances ie, about 2″ lower and 1″ to the right at half the distance than before. This was the result of my crap machining on my short arsed lathe , so i got a pro to do it ๐ . I couldnt put the barrel between centers with my lathe being too small so Sean very kindly remachined it for FREE ( he said he wasnt busy….who would believe that ! ). Sean also cut me a 1/2 unf thread and re-blacked the barrel . So finaly it shoots straight and true …yeppie !. Also trimed the hammer down by .2 mm too make cocking easier. Next is to make a new spring for the shear as my homemade one is abit on the heavy side.
Last will be new bigger bearings on the cocking probe as well as a hardend seat so the bearings dont cut a groove on the part of the cocking handle i pull back ! .
I think when i anodised the breach i burnt abit of metal off and as a result the probe isnt being locked in to place fully. When fired the cock handle moves back by .5mm and that int good enough ๐ก
So il be back …..im still saving for a chron ๐
Well hopefully she shoots as good as she looks and as good as my reward ๐ . Think the yellow forum will find it of intrest…hehe ! ๐
