I hope you don’t think I am writing this for pity, but you asked.

In 1979 I was the victim of attempted murder on two different occaisions, in that fine City of Portland. In February I was involved in a court house shooting that left two dead. In March of that year a burglar jumped on me and tried to cut my throat, he missed my jugular by a fraction of an inch, he had brought a knife to a gun fight, he missed, I however did not.

Then in November during a race riot where my partner and I had to fend off 20 or more angry black gentlemen, one of them who had been recently paroled, picked up a 70 lb formica and steel folding bench and threw it thru the air, it hit me in the left temple, and it shattered my skull.

I recieved from that injury and the other incidents, a pension for the rest of my life, recurring mirgraine headaches, about two to three every week for years, brain damage and post tramatic stress syndrome and nightmares that I still have to this day.

Eventually I lost the vision in my left eye due to the effects of the migraines.

That is how I ended up living in the only house in 110 square miles, my wife of 24 years left me and we divorced and I lived as a hermit there for 3 more years.

When I found myself being involved in one accident after another, either with breaking horses or riding rv’s or running equipment, where I was getting additional concussions. I decided to live closer to town and find a woman who would care for me when I get to the slobbering stage, so I sold that place to of all people a Dr who specializes in head inuries and lets me or my family stay there when ever we want..

I suffer from the same condition that pro football players do, in that I have had many concussions now and am not the sharpest tool in the shed anymore, that and the effects of a shrinking thalamus from PTSS, have left me on the fringes of senality.

I learned over the years that certain things triggered the migraines, such as nitrates in foods like my favorite, pizza, and bacon and just about anything with wheat flour. Also anything that causes differences in atmospheric pressure, like airline flights, thunderstorms. And loud noises, like loud gunfire and the pressure wave that results from it and blows to my head, like the recoil impulse of heavy rifles, martial arts ect..

I dearly love to long range shoot and competed in 1000 yard matches monthly, but after each blackpowder rifle match, within 48 hours I would go blind and be in intense pain from a migraine for a day or so.

That last elk I killed, the next day, helping my buddy, the one who had the stroke, try to get his elk, I got a migraine and went blind in my one remaining eye for the rest of the day, unfortunately I was miles from my truck.

The blast wave from my 40 glock or a 9mm or any high intensity cartridge would do it also.

Medicine that helped them either had terrible side effects or was illegal at the time, in either case a stiff price must be paid at some point.

So my son has most of my guns, my daughter has my Glock and I shoot airguns, fly only if it is needed to , but I have found one piece of vegetarian pizza without the processed meats will avoid headaches, so far…

I am hoping that the recoil impulse of the large bore air rifles will be mild enough to not trigger the headaches, if not, then I will be slinging arrows at them.

So to combat memory problems, I exercise strenuously, I literally do math in my head, I dance a lot with the wife to try to keep my balance sharp and I write a lot, two unpublished novels and I shoot those airguns daily, and I live in a peaceful enviroment.

My Pygmee is a discontinued tank from Airhog, it is roughly 7.5 cuft, or a little less than half of your Guppy.

The guage that Joe puts on these is of such higher quality and easier to read, that I suspect you will forget you have a guage on the ETAC, at least for filling anyway.

Filling from a small tank to the ETAC is a very easy and quick task.

I had trouble getting my Shoebox to keep running last night after about 6 hours of use.

I shut it off each 3 hours to lube, and then after the 6 hour shutdown to lube, it wanted to shut off every 5 to 10 minutes. It is hot and I think that expands the parts to where it leaks more thru the pistons, this morning it cooler and it is running fine.

I do have a leak in the upper cylinder, I posted last night about it on the Shoebox forum, and this morning I have a reply from Tom Kaye that I probably need to replace the O rings in both cylinders.

So it appears that I am about to become very intimate with the Shoebox. Something anyone who buys one will need to do, part of the package for those of us who do not have 3 grand to drop for a big compressor.

Yeah that Pygmee is not going to fill it too many times is it, so no buffalo stands with that one.

Yes I do have the capability to fill the Pygmee with the 30 minute bottle, the Pygmee’s bleed system is connected with a male female connection, when disconnected it leaves a male fitting on the Pygmee, which can be attached to the 30 minute female connection. I even used once to top off my scuba tanks when I still had them.

From what I read, the 58 has been operating at 4100PSI, but being as it is new gun, treading unknown territory,what I read could be outdated fast.

I will be hunting on foot, out of my old house most likely, and it has a solar electrical system that I designed and built, it would run all of this if needed.

I am thinking a 2×7 Leupold on that 58, with the LR duplex, so that would give me three known ranging points, sight in the crosshair at 100 yards and then see where the two dots hit.

I used to cast those huge Diablo pellet looking 12 guage slugs , too bad they don’t make those for the 58, what a trip it would be to knock over a spike with a steroid pellet like that. But there are so many fine projectiles for the 58 and molds that are cheap.
