shoebox compressor failure
I got a problem with my new shoebox compressor. First thing, and probably most important is, where can I get parts for this machine? So far I haven’t been able to locate any source for parts. I need a burst plug really bad (4500 PSI) The first attempt to fill my Benjamin 3000 PSI tank all went fine. The machine shut down at 1500 PSI. I released the air from the benji tank and started the shoebox for fill #2– I mostly wanted to check It’s repeatability. On fill #2 it shut off at slightly over 1500 PSI- So far so good… BUT, on the third attempt things went bad!! I had released the pressure on the benji tank and started the shoebox for fill #3 It reached just over 1500 PSI just as before in the first two charging cycles. Then there was a loud “POP” and the 4500 PSI burst plug had blown. There is no way the unit reached enough pressure to blow a 4500 PSI burst plug. If it had reached excessive pressure It would then have blown out the burst plug on the benji tank (3000 PSI) Pressure on the gauge never got anywhere close to 2000 PSI in all three test runs??? Defective burst plug ?? Any ideas guys??? I really need a new burst plug. HELP….
