Q:

shooting chrony lens. which way is up.

I took apart shooting chrony sensor to clean the lens and lens fell out… Anyone know which way is up for those two lens? Or does it matter? :banghead: 😳

The smooth sides of the lenses should be facing each other, with the beveled sides facing out.

Not sure – call CE and they can help.

I taped some clear perspex/acrylic to the sensor openings to prevent dirt from getting inside the sensor.

Dumb answer: The same way that is up for you.

Assuming the two lens are from separate sensors, you could check them out in direct sun light. Hold it above something that won’t burn, or hurt, adjust for focus then turn it over and see if focus remains the same. If one side diffuses the light more, install both the same way and check it out. Of course, don’t check it out installed in direct sun light.
