Shooting flys with a 22 mutant

That I didn’t see coming, those guys getting all those DWI’s are going to find their butt in real trouble just with that offense only…

Unless they take some of the penalty away, now they have legal weed. I never gave all that much thought one way or the other really. I bet the law enforcement through the entire legal system is grinning ear to ear now that is going on.
Those offensives get in your pocket really hard anyway, let alone if you get more than one. Heck it affects your career, the places you might want to work at down life’s road, they stay with you for life!

At the sound of whats going on up there, there going to end up with a work force that supports half the population in jail, and that ain’t no laughing matter. The politicians and the attorney’s will be the only ones laughing, just that those two will be laughing all the way to the bank.
You go and get real smart about all that public intoxication depending on if your just driving or maybe been out hunting or fishing, you can loose your rights to even buy a license to do so, not just the driving.

I have a good friend in Snyder that is a detective there, he was telling me how the DWI affects you now here in Texas. Those offensives now can get real expensive fast! Jail time, property confiscated, basically your life is pretty much over when you get more than 3 of them. Unless your a politician or very well off with more money than you know what to do with it…

That all sounds really bad to me, I never thought about all that with the fall out of the weed becoming legal…

Harry Y. That is the guy, so good to hear he is still a fight’n… Your exactly right about Harry. Quite the fellow.

Still any and all of that sort of stuff would be fun… Fun in anyone’s back yard too. One different that I do when I get to go home where I grew up ad a kid, we have several wild acres of properties that has this old creek that runs through it…

Its beautiful down there, well off to one side or the other, we have some really nice ponds, being a Texan; we call them tanks or stock tanks… Anyway one of the tanks has had a huge population of wasp that light on the water in this tank and float across the water and get a drink.
I have setup in the shade best I can without getting snake bit or stung by the wasp, and just shoot the heck out of the wasp as the breeze Carry’s them across….
Awesome fun, never ending supply of targets, and for years now too. Any kind of pistol or rifle, or both… Lots of fun with AR’s but not limited to anything really, but classically I have shot them more with pellet rifles and rimfire. That or my hand cannon that I always have on down there! Snakes bad one’s too.

But you can setup my MK II Rapid with scuba tank tethered, bipod the rifle run the glass up and have a freakin’blast popping the wasp off the water.

Now the bad, you need a calm day, which means your going to be hot, sweating and just in general welting from the heat and humidity. This leaves the water calm so you can spot the wasp landing on the water. It’s very tuff to stay focused this time of year, but a lot of fun…

Great practice shooting like this, those wasp @ 50 + yards makes them a hard target,small drifting with the breeze they are quite the challenge…

I saw on the Yellow many years ago, this sort of thing on flies in South Africa, I think by a guy that was called
Yarr… I think thats right.

At any rate he was always doing something like this and sharing. He just used a white piece of paper, and then put a single dot of syrup to attract the prey. Looks and sounds cool, either way.

He had bits of black fly specks all over the paper. Now if you could go super slow mode and up really close, you could catch the milli-second the fly saw the pellet coming and then break it down frame by frame to impact… Would be something!

The watermelon would add to the blast & splash also. It would draw more flies too. But no matter how you did it, you could get all setup to see if you can shoot the gnats ass off the spot!!! The video of this frame by frame would be really something as well to see.

Up close, really close, you could see the compound eye’s of the fly see what is coming and the oh-shit this is going to hurt, lift off quick hurry,hurry to later 🙂

It would be like watching the Roadrunner show 55 years or so, way back when anyway 🙂 It would be really awesome.

Then next, guess you could see if you could shoot and film you shooting the wings off the same way. Doing that and not killing the fly you would be creating a new life form, wait for it :suprisedn: :suprisedn: :ugeekn: a “Walk”!!!

Since shooting the wings off it will not be flying any longer making the fly walk everywhere hence the new specie’s “The Walk” Dayyyuummm Mikey that could be your claim to fame for sure! The Walk!!! 🙂
