Shooting with SavageSam and kid
First thanks to Sam for taking me and my brother in law, shooting yesterday.
we drove the allmost 2 hours toSams place…and followed him for another hour or so into californian no mans land…..and there he showed us a beautifull little place where you can have some powder burning fun without the gun range rules 😈
Sam had his son with him
it was a beautifull day….sunny, not too warm, and little wind….my car was packed with guns….both powder burners and airguns
when we arrived we quickly set up the canopy, and a couple of tables….and loading a shitlod of magazines, getting airtanks, rifles and everything ready we where good to go…..range was setup from 30 yards to about 130 yards……as an added bonus, Sams house had been the victim of gnoming (kids stealing garden gnomes and dumping them all in a yard of an unsuspecting house owner) of course Sam didnt want all that crap so they where setup as targets….i had brought various filled water jugs, as i think water looks awesome when shot at
pictures and video will be uploaded as i get clips finished….highspeed clips will have artificial sound as my camcorder does not record sound at that speed…..in case you where wondering why all shots sound the same…i merely took the sound from another clip and pasted it in…now you know
it was an awesome day…..and i want to thank him !
i had brought my new used aa410…but forgotten the fill adapter ***sigh*** had enough air to sight it in….what a fucking nice rifle…i never grow tired of the AA410, this one was a carbine….and its still accurate as hell
brother in law was shooting the SS…..he went through 1 tin of JSB…and then some…according to him….it was dead on from 3000 psi to about 1100 psi….he filled it 3 times, it was full from the start….so 4 complete fills gave him about 300 shots….i think i got this one dialed in (note 800cc tank used) awesome.
the Rapid .25 mk2 was shooting great…..that is with great concentration it would drop them into the same hole…..BUT it was 10 times harder to shoot than any of the guns we had brought ! i dont know what makes this rifle so hard to shoot….the AA and SS you just shoot and it hits…the rapid…if you dont move the trigger the same way…hold your chin the same way….do everything the same way…it will not hit the same spot…its accurate now….but not easy to shoot
powder burners….hehe
well i have never tried to rapid fire a handgun….so when having a bit of fun….bullets went everywhere…. literally…..i cannot rapid fire…i also suck at shooting hand guns in general….but i had fun…..Sam is a natural (or very experienced) he can really shoot….he is different from me in that he is used to open sights where i have cheated and been learning with optics….sam can shoot with open sights…and it shows….im jealous 😀
a nameless guy on this forum who got me started in powderburners….was to kind to make me some really hot .44MAG rounds….we had some real good fun with the rounds i had left of them….OMG the flames and BOOM…AWESOME !
at 6:30 we where wrapping it up…..my guest and i had a long drive home…and arrived at 9:30….very tired….a frew brewski’s later and we where out cold….traffic sucked ass…the rural highways, and all that was fine…but once past bass pro on the highway we hit traffic….25-45 mph all the way to 680….pretty much added 30 minutes to the drive…fucking sucked !
all in all a great day
the first clip has been uploaded…rest will follow…enjoy
