short shroud extension
I have a talon SS that I’d like to be a little quieter, but I don’t want to ad 6-8″ to it, that defeats the purpose of this gun I feel. I’d like to add 2″-4″ max to the stock sound suppression. Any ideas?

With my SS I ran a combination of a Subsonic extension w/the fend washer,o ring,spring,and plastic tubing. It was a great combo. Prior to that I used a mono baffle setup with no protrusion and the fender washer etc. setup.
There is plenty of room in the frame ahead of the muzzle to add baffels in a talon ss. You can do a lot with it! And there i s a ton of info here in this section on this mod. 😉
You will find that even somthing as crude as fender washers and spacers works wonders for the SS. 😀

The Talon SS is 12″ on the barrel.
Venting the frame and front barrel bushing will help. Put the frame holes facing down into the forearm to muffle and for cosmetic effect.
You can add a 6″ LDC, with 2″ recessed into the shroud, adding only 4″ overall.
With vented frame/front barrel bushing, and a Neil Clague 4″ OAL slide-in modrator, you can do MUCH better than you are now. It won’t be dead
silent, but it will be neighbor friendly. Be sure to tell Neil, or whoever makes the LDC, that you only want 4″ protruding from the frame.

😳 That I don’t know. I bought my to AF Condors new with 24″ barrels. I bought a 12″ .177 barrel from TalonTunes and converted the 24″ .22 to 12″ .177. Love it so much I can’t bring myself to swapping the .22 back in. Then after about 22 mods, to it, I added the full modded TalonTunes 24″ .25 Condor to my arsenal.
I have Subsonic’s original LDC in the .177 and its fairly neighbor friendly.
Isn’t the stock barrel 12″?
A 12″ barrel would allow enough space internal to the frame for a .177 or maybe .22 to be hushed a bit if not shooting at Mach 1.

You could install the sound-loc baffles from AF also if you want a pre made setup.
