Q:

Shortening length of pull

Can anyone tell me how to make the length of pull shorter. I have a AAA Condor with a stock Condor tank, TTTA, AR15 grip adaptor, and the combination tank cover butt plate. I love the gun and accessories, when I’m sitting at a bench or prone, but when shooting off hand the length of pull makes it tough for me to reach the AR15 grip and get my head down for a cheek weld. It feels like my arms are just too short. Is there a slightly shorter tank, perhaps even carbon fiber, that I could use to shorten the length of pull. I used the tank cover butt plate combo because when I put it on the rifle I can cheat it forward a little bit allowing the butt plate to bend a little to shorten the LOP. I have a remote pony tank that I can wear with a strap over my shoulder and I even thought of trying to get an adaptor made from the hose on it directly to the back of the gun and then get a stock made but that kinda takes the point of the Airforce rifle out of it. Ideally I’d like to find a shorter version of my Condor tank that would give a shorter LOP. I figure if it’s out there one of the guys on this forum will know. Thanks for any suggestions.

Yup, that’s me. Glad it worked for you. Just my small contribution to repay the comunity for all I have learned from all the other helpful posters out there.

bstaley, and John-in-Texas, Thank you both for the spot on tips and link. I searched all over and could never quite find what I needed. That’s why I love this forum there are so many knowledgeable shooters on here it I’ts a great resource. And bstaley if you are the same guy who came up with the bstaley O ring fix for the Marauder. I owe you a belated thank you for hundreds of trouble free hours of shooting I had because of you with my Marauder before I got my Condor. You’re a celebrity in the shooting community. There a lot of people like me that owe a huge debt to the guys like you guys that not only do the pioneering work but go to the trouble to post it to help those of us who could benever have improved or guns over stock. Without you Thank you.

You may find an acceptable shorter tank and gain volume in the deal.

I swapped the 400 cc tank from my Evanix Windy city with the tank on my TTTA and the LOP is much better…..and I get more shots from the WC. I’m sure there are other 400cc tanks that will fit as well. You might be able to find soemone to do a swap with.
