Shot string questions?????
So used 2600 psi, 90 gram hammer with old Condor hammer spring insert, powerwheel on zero, tophat at .071 and Kodiak 21 grain.
Curious if I will have accuracy issues with this spread and if the tophat should be increased, decreased???

I’d probably remove the extra hammer weight, then start with the pw at a setting of 3-4 and set the tophat for about 1050 with the kodiacs (the string you had looked great but is probably giving up a little in accuracy being supersonic. The above should let you dial up just the PW to get the EJ’s in the 1000fps range.
My expenience with Kodiacs so far is they seem best for accuracy at 950-1000 fps or so.
Well lowered the tophat to being flush with the valve body .065 and should have mentioned I was only using the 21 g Kodiaks for testing consistancy. At 2600 psi PW on zero with the 90 g hammer and stock Condor spring/hammer insert I am launching 29 and 32 grain Eun Jins just around 1000 fps. 😀
Shot 1 with .22 Kodiaks was 1078 fps and shot 32 chronied at 1044 fps so I think I have found a good setup for now.
PS I took it back to .091 (factory setting) and the 29g Eun Jins were screaming out at 1150 FPS!!!!! Also HUGE amounts of air blasted out. 😯

That looks pretty good, Randy. Regarding accuracy, best thing to do is try it and see. If I do my part, I can keep Kodiaks around 3/8″ at 30 yards and ~1000 fps. It looks like you’re at or beyond supersonic, but Kodiaks tend to be forgiving in that regard, and altitude makes a difference too. How’s your air consumption? If you’re ending up anywhere close to 2000 psi, I’d call it pretty damn good. If your accuracy IS iffy, I’d try to drop the hammer weight first (lose the spring insert), then decrease the TH. Keep us posted.

Curious as to why such a huge (IMO) top hat setting? Couldn’t he get 1000 with Kodiaks and a .070 top hat setting?
