Shot the 909 today
Had some work done on it not long ago . Not the most powerful at 800 fps with R.B. but I gained 125 fps with R.B. and lowered the fill from 3000 to 2400 psi . And went from 5 full power shots to 7 . As well as having the hammer handle breaking issue resolved for good .
Started with a 80 cf tank at 3500 psi . Shot 15 , 7 shot strings and came home with 3000 psi of air .Marvin

I told him that it sounds like a seal or O ring is leaking. He said that he tried to get the end cap off and couldn’t figure how. Is there a special tool needed to remove the cap?
If its anything like the Career Ultra 9mm, then he needs to remove the two round washers (hit one hole with a screw, until its loose) then you just pull the end cap that cover both tubes.
Thanks for the tip, Marvin!
It sounds like we both get our special tools from the same supplier. 😆
Yes there is . But I use a piece of leather and vise grips . Marvin
Hey Mellow. A guy at work asked me to look at his 909. He said that it has 2 pressure tubes? The bottom tube has the air fill and the top has an end cap that leaks all of the air out.

i have the 308 cal barrel on my twin tube , i like it a lot , i shoot 310 round ball at around 950 fps for around 10 shots from 2700 psi down to 1700 psi , it shoots fast and flat and very accurate i might add ,
i got the barrel from Tom Basile ” pellet man ” years back , and i have never switched it back to 45 since , more fun to shoot fast 308 !
Man spammers ya’ll gunna fuck up the tshirt contest!!!!! 😆
It is fantastic to use. That experience is my own. Thanks……

Chris I still would like to find some one to swap barrels on these rifles in away . But to drop to a .357 it would have to have a 28 or 30 inch barrel for sure . Or else it is going to be right were my 201 is . 308 or better yet a 25 with a 28 or 30 inch barrel would make a good rifle out of the dual tube I think . I have though about it but I am waiting on word about a 30 inch L.W. barrel for my condor in 25 caliber . But that might be a wash out before it is over . The combo I have right now with this rifle is not bad for close range and a lot of target work on windy days . I have four 30 caliber rifles already so I am leaning towards another 25 if I am going to do anything . Marvin
I think the power potential of a 909 would be maximized with the use of a .32 or .357 barrel. That and a tune would put it right up there in power with just about anyones bigbore (perhaps with a shorter barrel, as well). Don’t forget that a 909 barrel is only 21.6inches long…..practically a carbine when compared to many bigbore airguns using 28-36inch barrels.
I do try to stay inside 60yards tops with mine as far as hunting goes. A tuned 909 makes for a great predator rifle for hunting thick timber.
Hoot the rifles have had a change from the factor to address the danger . The man that tuned this for me changed the hammer as well as the handle . And made sure the issue was resolved as well . It does resemble a nail now that you mentioned it. But it is a stainless steel bolt . It is there because the stock handle and screw are another factory weak link that break quite often at the worst of times . Yes trying to make a rifle out of a want to be . The rifle still has the stock hammer spring in it . But with the handle that is on it now . I can replace it with a stronger one if I like latter . But I have a Gargoyle as well if I need the power . 50 yards is about it for the 909 . Marvin
Did you see the first post on this forum about All Sams misfiring? Thoughts?
What other mods did you make to this cannon? Curious minds want to know.
I’m also curious as to the effective range of this for knock-down power for deer or hogs.

Thats not a nail, It’s the kickstart off of a 2-stroke dirtbike….does the same job too. 😆
Why is that nail sticking out of your breech?

another way to do it , is to cut 2 small pieces allen, wrench or hard small round stock that fits the holes , so they stick out a bit , then clamp some vice grips carfully on them and it will come loose easy , i had to do it this way on one of my guns because the rings were on very tite , it worked great ,
i tried leather and a piece of stainless that had thin rubber rapped around it and on that gun they would not come loose till i did the small allen pieces { had to sacrifice and old allen wrench but they work good because the material is very hard as a tool }
