Q:

Should I wait for Cricket .35 ?

I know in their website they have the Cricket .35, but when will this be available in the US Market?

Is .35 a good caliber? Comparing to .30, which one is more preferred?

I’m itching to buy a Cricket sooo bad, just can’t decide between .22, .25, or wait for .35

Any recommendations?

I contacted Steve a few weeks ago. Back then I was set on a .22 tactical Cricket and Steve told me that he had a limited supply but they were all color gauges. He also said that the next shipment could be 3-4 months for shipment of numbered gauges. I’m inquiring on the .25 and if he has it I’m a buying!!!

Am I being anal about this? (I said anal, hehehhe)

I’m very very close to getting a .25 Cricket. Just waiting for the number gauge (as opposed to color). Does that make that much of a difference. Probably not, I just thought it looks more tactical or cool.

Can someone with a .25 post up a picture of it without the shroud on? I want to see if I would be able to put my ParisD LDC on it. I need to know if

1. barrel is threaded or can be threaded to 1/2 x 20 UNF
2. length of barrel muzzle to end of air tank
3. width of shroud

Give steve a call at Wild West Airguns, I think all he stocks are Crickets with the numbered gauges and if not just tell him you want one with the numbered gauge and he’ll make it happen.

When I got my cricket from Wild West Steve said they never know what they will get. Most of his orders have both….colored and standard white with numbers. Call him, he might have both available.

I’m willing to try the 1.0 simply because I know if its not up to par my Steve Smith will make it right. Thats how he got me to buy my first one, he told me “try it and if its not everything you hoped it would be send it back”. Steve has always been a straight shooter with me and when he says their ready I’ll take his word.

I’m waiting for it too. But like Secoda said….not the 1.0. But I’ll take an R3M .30 should Ed decide to throw it out there. Ooh….and let’s not forget the Semi-Auto steyr 5. NOW THATS WHAT IM TALKIN ABOUT. :8:

+1 for the .25 !! What are you waiting for ? Run, don´t walk , to the nearest friendly Cricket dealer to get one of those.

I don’t get the problem. The .35 isn’t out. Get the .25 now and sell it later if a .35 becomes viable. You don’t want Cricket .35 version 1.0 anyways. The pleasure of the .25 for 6 months or more might cost you a few hundred dollars… It will give you time to decide if you really want an air hog (limited shots) and loopy trajectory of a .35.

I’m getting mixed messages here. I DONT” KNOW WHAT TO DO!!!!!!

EXACTLY!! By all means get the .25 I already have the .22 and .25 and if the .357 isnt out by mid next year I’ll get the .177

I’m planning on getting one as soon as they get them sorted out. Love the size of that JSB .357 pellet, I wish my Evanix .357 had been MOA at 100yds.

Go for the .25 and save on having to buy yet a different cal. ammo. Your Talon would be hard-pressed to match the Cricket’s accuracy over the large shot count, unless it has a regulator.

Want big? Sign up for a Ranger .45 or .50 cal. at XP, Don’t worry about the cash scene now; it’ll likely be at least a year before Dan is ready to ship! It’s been almost two years since I got on the list. It’ll soften your desire for bigger air guns “I have a Ranger on order”. At least, that’s the theory. 😛

I’m pretty happy with the .25 Cricket, skeleton walnut: light, easy to handle, relatively quiet, good shot count, accurate enough to hit a Japanese beetle at 40 yds. and good-looking.

Might be a long wait though. The release has been postponed twice.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2. This POS iPhone sucks though …

Well I already have a .22 Marauder, .25 TalonP. Make sense that my next rifle be different. I guess being a bullpup is different enough (a semi-auto would be extremely nice), but I wouldn’t mind getting a .35 if the noise can be tamed.

Why mess around with toys…. 1.75″
