Should the POI change…
with scope magnification settings?
(If I sight in the scope at 50 yards at 6x magnification should the POI change if I change the magnification to 24x magnification)

Your 50 yards should not change; however, the point of impact for the holdover/holdunder will change.

What says @ hecs1969 is right. Also you may see much clear the difference of POI after changing the magnification, on a longer range (100 yds let’s say). The only way to not change the POI after changing the magnification is to shoot trough an FFP scope.
