Shroud bore hole question

I just got a 7X14 mini lathe. I’ll be making my own shroud this weekend.

I have a quick question for thoes of you with a shroud.

What is the bore hole diamater of your shroud?

To make the hole about 2-3mm bigger than the pellet is not a bad idea i guess.(?) When the shroud is not exatly in line with the barrel, the pellet flies not in center of the hole. The pellet spoils air to the sides and has differend pressure when it goes through the hole of the washers .(That is what i beleve-or guess).I had different ,,hitpoinds” with shround`s wich where made not 100 % accurate,or had to little holes.

I like to go around +0.040″ of the bore diameter.

For .20 caliber, I used .242″
For .22 caliber, I used .266″
For .25 caliber, I used .300″ ish.

As long as you line it up with the barrel right, you wont have clipping.
