Q:

Shroud question?

I posted on Facebook and I will share question in here for input.

Whats the best length shroud you have for a condor SS with both an 18 inch and 24 inch barrel???? I’m looking at the 14 inch shroud but will the pellets in 25cal clear the shroud when using the 18 inch barrel???? Thanks in advance.

Running a r&l shroud with 8 cups on an 18 inch barrle talondor. Not as quiet as my 14 inch talon tunes shroud.

Maybe thats why the design has changed from when you look at the 9 inch shroud it has a silver in color aluminum piece where it connects to frame but mine doesn’t look like that at all. I have to tale one of the baffles out of the SS frame in order to allow the shroud to enter the frame as that piece is alot longer that the aluminum pictured. I assume this adds more contact withe frame and eliminates any chance of shroud coming out of alignment.

Im shooting a custom RL shroud hat sticks out past the frame about 4 in to allow for manipulating the barrel upon re assembly. It also added a couple more baffles and is as quiet as the Marauders I own that are stock. I’m getting one for my Talon as well. Both guns are in 22 cal, very accurate and QUIET. I like the bolt on RL over any set screw shroud. No chance of the RL coming loose and clipping pellets unlike the set screw models.

I have watched your videos forever :biggrinn: :biggrinn: :biggrinn:

I have the 9 inch shroud as the condor SS frame is longer.

Anthony When you see this check your facebook messages :hoot:

24 inch barrel condor i have a 14 inch shroud and it is i sane how much it quiets the gun. I have ran it on my 18 in barrel talon also. The talon frame is shorter so you still get plenty of barrel to center it on. 30 fpe gun with 14 inch shroud all you hear is the mechanics of the gun and the smack on target. You should check out my shroud videos on talon tunes website. They are the best shrouds out there.

great shrouds from Tony.

Thanks for sorting this out! :8:

The 14″ shroud is when you have 5-6″ of barrel extending from your frame.
The 14″ shroud has a barrel centering device in it to prevent clipping.

The 6″ and 9″ shrouds are when you have 0-.50″ of barrel extending from your frame.
The 9″ being quieter than the 6″ but obviously 3″ shorter. Both are very effective.

I hope this clears up some of the confusion.
Thanks, Tony

I don’t want to order and have any issues. The 6 inch shroud actually states it will work fine but I figure the longest shroud would be even quieter. I don’t want to get a shorter one and then want to buy the longer one.

It should not be a problem. :2cents:
