shroud
does anyone know the difference in the size of the shroud would a long one be quieter or is it be the same as a 5 inch shroud in noise reduction?

Air volume is the key.
A longer tube the same diameter is quieter, more room for air movement.
A larger diameter tube VS. a smaller diameter tube the same length is quieter, again more room for air to move.
Basically anyway. Internal baffle arrangements can differ causing different effect. But the larger the internal volume, the quieter the gun will be.
