Q:

Sidewinder Tactical Flip up scope covers…

Does anyone know where I can get these? Hawke doesn’t have them in production yet and can’t give a date. I looked at the butler creek covers but it seems like the eyepiece is 43mm and the objective is 49mm.
They have covers for the eyepiece at 42.5mm or 43.2mm and 48.7mm.

I guess the objective would be fine but I want a nice fit. Any ideas?

Ooh, they sound snazzy 😎

I contaced via email weaver optics. They have flip up scope caps that are polarized and with a twist of the cap the lense turns from yellow to grey (smoke) and I believe to clear. After they answer a few questions I may try these. I love the idea of them being polarized. When I have to I shoot with polarized glasses and man what a difference!. I’ll let you guys know what happens.

I thought that would be a nice fit also but, I am looking for the see through flip tops with the button release and I need one of them to be amber.
All the button release flip tops seem to be non-see through. Sometimes I shoot paper and if it is the morning sun, it reflects blindly off the target.
I had this set from Butler Creek up on my Elite 3000 but now, I can’t seem to find it from any manufacturer. I even checked Butler Creek’s web site.

Would of thought 42.5mm for a 43mm fit would be ok?
That’s a mere 0.019 of an inch! Nice tight fit, if the cap is rubberised?

Me Too!
