Sieg X1 Micro Mill arrived today!!!!
Yeah, so since I was on a limmited budget and space for now, I went ahead and bought the small Micro Mill from Harbor freight for $320 + tax which totalled out to $347.71 which isn’t too bad. Well, it shipped and arrived at the HF store today so I went and picked it up. Wow, it’s such a pita to uncrate that thing!!! The black metal bands are a nightmare without shears!!! Anyhoo, all said and done I got it uncrated and cleaned off most of the red packing grease. I still need to buy a set of 2MT collets and some endmills and a clamp kit, but when that’s all done, I’ll be cutting some stuff for my .22 Disco such as a riser breech for 1/4 barrel shroud, an extended barrel band that resenbles a 2-3″ sleeve with a weaver rail cut into the bottom of it for sling, bipod, and flashlight. Then I’ll make a mount for a highspeed dremel on the side and then a small “L” bracket for a counterweight to make turning the hand crank on top for the Z axis easier by hand. Well, I talk too much, so here’s 2 pics of the lil beast, one just a normal one, then the second with my Spruce blank for a pistol grip for the Disco!

Yup, it is. One thing I don’t like is that I can move the motor housing left and right about 1/8″, just a lil play in it =\
Well, hopefully sometime soon, I’ll be getting the 2MT micromill tooling package from LMS for $229.00 so when that happens, I’ll be makin a buncha stuff =]
