Signs of Wear
I have found some sing of wear with my 1 year old Condor. The Top Hat has bashes on it (dents) and the are of the breech is wearing out.
Will any of these affect the accuracy and consistency of it?
What can i do to fix these problems?

Oww i may give that a try. Mine has a metal washer did u put it over that or did you take the washer off?
I took a piece of heat shrink tubing and put it around the cocking handle. I think 1/4″ size. Shrunk to a perfect fit. It stopped that beating of the frame. I read they are supposed to come with a rubber or plastic washer around it but mine did not.
Interesting although theres no way of me being able to do that 🙁
But from what i understood its not a huge problem, i hope!
Dont know about the top hat however.
Doug has been machining the breech knob area of the frames further DOWN to a thicker section of the frame. AIRFORCE cuts those slots at the THINNNEST part of the frame and thats why the cocking knob damages that part of the frame upon firing.
When he did my TD257 he did that too mine.
Does anybody know if the dents on the top hat affect the accuracy of the gun??
On the top hat dings, many AF top hats due to shabby constrution, say isn’t true Roachcreeek, have a wire burr form on the end of the inside thread when the end of the top had is cut to length in production and not chamferd correctly or not done to save manufacturing costs..
Check yours and see if the ding is where the thread on the inside ends.
The breech beating is a consistantly normal thing, WOK says no it is caused by loosing the little plastic sleeve on the breech knob, you might check yours and see if it is still there, It can be lost in disassembly and can just break.
Many who have an intact sleeve still have the frame wear, I have had it on every one of mine.

The wear on the frame in my case started when I removed the tank collar. I left a slight gap where the breech would bang back against the top hat then forward banging the knob shaft against the frame. I have readjusted it so there is a slight preload when moving the knob into the fire position. I have fired it many times since and do not see any more wear. The top hat wear could also from the same cause.
You will have to take the breech out and lightly file the sharp edges off. Mine was cutting into the breech. I chamfered the inside edge slightly where the wear was..
Dont know about the gap size but there is a plastic shim under it to decrease velocity

Took the metal washer off. Guess you could do it either way but this way gives you a tad bit more room th adjustments.
