Sling attachment ideas?
Looking for sling attachment setup. obviously you can put normal sling on edgun, but I saw this magpul RSA rail attachment and it looks like the coolest thing to me. This attaches to the picatinny rail and provides single connection point. They sell a sling with a quick release jaw that locks onto it. On something short like my matador I could almost see me choking up on the sling to the point where the rifle might hang right under my arm. This could be ultimate setup on a Lelya. Thoughts?
Here is link to Amazon – has decent picture of it. http://www.amazon.com/Magpul-Rail-Sling-Attachment-Black/dp/B004HXH6I0/ref=sr_1_19?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1366849370&sr=1-19&keywords=magpul

On a short gun like Leyla probably fine.
I tried the single point attachment idea for my Long Matador. . For open field, open woods its fine and ready to go.Butt at shoulder and tip of barrel at kneecap.
But For thick brush hunting and crawling around or over trees it was more of a nuisance than a benefit. I had to keep moving gun behind me to crawl/low walk and then It hung to low and barrel hit dirt a few times or when climbing over trees or large rocks needed to keep a hand on it so it didnt get banged which was annoying. With standard sling entire gun is more centered on torso. Cross sling and gun over chest/back and it’s hands free traversing with no movement of gun.
I wear a med sized lower back pack and with Matador crossed over back it doesn’t go anywhere or get bumped on anything. Still easy to get to when needed.
