Smaller Caliber Muzzle Loaders….
Anyone with any real experience here? I’m looking for opinions on something in the 32 caliber range for squirrel.
Yes, I could use a .22, .17HMR, or one of a few airguns… but thought that a blackpowder gun in .32 would be cool.
Anyone got one? From what I have ready, they do well with the .310 RB’s out to around 30 yards and then it’s a crapshoot.

I have no experience shooting black powder, but I have spent some time drooling over some of the most beautiful guns you’ve ever seen at TheGunWorks. Definitely look here before you buy. He is also a barrel maker (Oregon Barrel Company).

By all accounts, I should be able to use the .310RB’s, which is great as I buy them already for a couple of my airguns…. and using 11-15gr of powder should be more than enough for what I want to do.
So far, I’ve only seen the Traditions .32 out there… havent really found anything much else.

I own three, yes. .36 pistol, .50 rifle, and .45 rifle….

Thanks, Rev….. I was looking for something around the same price range as many of the 50 cals out there, but apparently, thats not going to happen. Most I see are in the 4-700 range….. but I do like that carbine! Thats exactly what I’m looking for.
I did see a full sized one that had the stock cut down for a youth. The owner didnt have the stock peice and so the gun was being sold at a discounted rate…. very discounted…. $79.00 I jumped at it, but was too late. BAH!
