Q:

Smoke or vapor from chamber

I’m getting a small amount of smoke or vapor from the chamber right after I shoot and then cock my SS 25 for the next shot. Is this normal? Thanks for ANY help.

I’m using a hand pump with a tampoon. Accuracy and velocity are normal. It was a chilly SE Iowa morning and I had just brought it from the house, maybe 40 degrees difference. Thank you for the info.

The vapor (smoke) you see is vaporized water. Are you in an environment with high humidity? What are you using to air up your tank? does it have a moisture filter? Also, the air released from your tank can be significantly cooler than the ambient temperature of the environment as it’s jettisoned out when you pull the trigger and the hammer strikes the top hat. It’s nothing to be concerned with as long as you’re not seeing decreases in accuracy or velocity.
