Q:

Smooth Twist Condor

Got a .22 ST barrel from AOA for my TTBR condor. handed it off to Tony for milling, along with a hammer forged .25 CZ barrel for my .25 Condor TTBR for the 75 yard extreme in AZ in October. Super excited to see how these barrels do

Have you put the smooth twist to use yet?

Not yet, Tony still has it

I called AoA the other day, and those barrels are expensive! I’m interested on what it does in the condor though. Also, nice dog, GKU

With it zeroed at 60 yards @ 20x 2.2 mill dots at 75 yards at 100 yards it’s about 6.6 mill dots.

For target shooting there is a trick I use to get it right on the mill dot without adjusting the turrets and changing/messing up the zero.
I adjust the magnification till it’s right on the closes mill dot.

Very accurate groups at 100 yards! I also find the JSB 18 grain best for accuracy. They are no hunting pellet mind. Can you tell me how much holdover did you need at 75 and 100 yards?

890 fps with JSB 18g and 930 fps with JSB 16g.

They are tied in accuracy at 30 yards @ 50 yards 16g wins and @ 75 yards and up 18g takes the prize.

hell yeah! @100yds? wow! whats your fps?

Very cool Salticon !!

There is this thing I like about the ST barrel compared to others is that you only need to clean it once.
I have a FX revolution 22 cal with no cleaning that has some 10,000 pellets thought its ST barrel, and it still holds a tight group.
