So far this is as good as I can get this 25 to shoot
I was shooting my Airarcher and my 25 today.
I had a wind from left to right, and at 102 yards, I have white typing paper , behind my dingers I shoot at. I am sighted in at 100 yards with a Bushnell 7×21 3200 Mildot and I was at 2350PSI fill shooting down to around 2200PSI for this group.
Condor hammer and weight, maxed out on PW and TH, shooting JSB Kings. I shot 5 shots to see what the wind was doing to my pellets at that range. It was blowing them 1.5 Mildots on 14 power, which is where this scope has true mildots. I was using the Caldwell Tachdriver bag.
The 5 shot group measures .75 inch center to center, there is one shot below that is circled, it was there from a few days ago, the paper is a little torn from pellet splatter from shooting the dingers.
I just don’t know what to do, I have tried everything, this seems to be as good as it it going to shoot.

No, I made it of carbon and aluminum. Just too big.
The all aluminum one flew apart, the carbon one kept pulling the 2nd bolt out of the breech.
I dont have the pics anymore. Possible I can find them on a disk or something.

Your results are nothing like I was experiencing. My groups were a pellet width high, but .75″+ wide. All shots were in the lower locked position.
I am certain it was due to the much larger bolt I was using. From the pictures you provided, I can safely assume the mass of mine was at least 3-4x heavier.
When the breech moved in the firing cycle, the bolt apparently didn’t want to follow and acted as a lever on the breech causing it to push on the breech end of the barrel.
Thats the best explanation I could come up with.

glad to see that my handles dont appear to have a negative effect on shot placement…. if you get a chance to shoot some with a reg post the results….

Here are the results of my talon ss (stock tank and hammer) with the subsonic bolt in both positions. 2-10 shot groups @ 20 yards with 14.3 gr CP brown box. First 10 shot group is on left, second 10 shot group is on right. First 10 shot group was with bolt in normal down position (to the right) second 10 shot group was in upward position (to the left). Neither position had any significant POI change. It appears that the second ten shot group is 1/8″ further right then the first 10 shot group…but this could also be due to the difference in fps. I think this test would be best done on a regulated rig….

thanks for the explanation RR. I will run a test on my SS with the bolt/breech to the left, then put it to the right to see of POI changes.
Its just a knob LOL.
The handle I had on mine was about 60mm long, attached with 2 bolts on the top. Probably the biggest problem was the handle was too heavy.
