Q:

So is the Airmax 2-7×32 the best Leshiy scope then?

Or does anyone have something to say about it? It seems a lot of Leshiy owners have settled on this scope. If I read Hawkes website correctly the reticle is true at 10x wich is pretty worthless but strelok pro will solve that I suppose. What scope mount would you recommend? Or even better, do you know what saddle height is needed?

Thanks 😛

are those medium height rings?

Yes they are

Same here. 6.2 and I find it pretty ergonomic.

For me it’s fine, it’s not a bullpup and shoulders fine for me. I’m close to 6’2 and with long arms and neck, if it matters for your estimations.

How do you find the scope height vs ergonomics? And how is the eye relief?

Ok one more :8:

I absolutely love this scope on Leshiy. I dont see the need in dropping more coin on anything else. But that is my opinion only.

I agree with what Pete said. Scope does exactly what it needs to do for the right price.

This one is staying on Leshiy for long term.

There is no perfect scope, but 2-7×32 AirMax ticks most boxes for me:
– very good optics, surprisingly crisp & clear
– awesome airgun-friendly etched 1/2 MIL reticle
– adjustable parallax (not side focus, but still adjustable down to 7m for indoor practice)
– short enough
– lightweigth

It would be perfect if it’d be 10x and illuminated but at a price point below $150 it’s a steal! And it really works great. It’s also awesome Lelya scope.

We thought the 1-6 was a winner too. And I was hoping to get something lighter in weight. Sub 500 grams if possible. Or the gun and fill kit will be very heavy in the backpack. But I will sit back and read your review all the same. Maybe it is a winner after all, who knows?

Many scopes out there better than the Hawke in my opinion..

Im going to test the crap out of this little compact TVO 1.2 – 12 x 32 FFP 35mm tube when it arrives.. I hope its a winner..

Ok, cool. Thanks for a serious answer. My Leshiy is kitted out for testing purposes but I want a smaller scope in the near future.

Well, that is the question. I do not care for Hawke scopes. The reason Hawke does so well in the airgun market is that they are the only scope company that provides a reticle with the PCP airgun in mind. To be honest, our little airgun world is considered a joke in the firearms industry, Even Ted Bier with is 400K subscribers couldn’t get Vortex to make an airgun true scope.

Ed made a gun that the world wasn’t ready for, a pistol (kind of) that has the ability to shoot MOA at 100 yards. It is not just me that can shoot it that way. I have several customers that send me groups that blow me away. I get the same follow-up phone call; I need to re-think my scope selection.

So What the perfect Leshiy scope? It doesn’t exist.
Here it would be:
1-10X24
30MM main tube
10 Meter Parallax
2nd focal (because FFP is useless at 1X)
1/2 Mil reticle at 10X
side focus
10 inches long

Now I know what you are going to say…get the March. The reticle is 4MOA between the sub-tensions at 10X, that is not suitable for an airgun. So, for now, the Hawke is not bad. Wingman promised me a review of the TAC Vector 1-12×24, I think after the Chinese New year he may get the scope.
