Very nice just love how the 6.8 performs!! 😈 I have ARs since the late 70’s never had one skip a beat. 😀
This is my old girl had her for years updated some of the furniture has a LED light on the right side powerful 35 mw green laser on the left and a QD 3-9 illuminated scope.
Groups pretty good out to 100 yards.

remington 700 is the action, but they do have different barrels, stocks, and mags.
other black guns, I have a stag m4 and a stag lower with a bison armory upper in 6.8spc.

I think the difference between most 700’s is the stock. And a few have the heavy barrel.
I don’t think any have a detachable magazine as standard. I forget what it is, but some of them (I think the bdl is one) are much easier to put a box magazine on. Like I said, I don’t remember exactly what does it, but some can have it, and some can’t.
Detachable magazines are nice, but usually not necessary. The only real reason for them is to get more ammo in faster. My rifle’s magazine only hold 4 rounds, but I can’t think of many occasions where I would need to get more than 4 .300wm shells downrange in a hurry. 😛
I say the same thing about heavy barrels. They are nice, but usually not needed. But I most definitely prefer a heavy fluted barrel and detachable magazine. 😀
Plus keep in mind when converting that most of them use AI mags. They are about $60 each. So if you want more, that sucks. 😆

SInce that picture, I have built a REAL benchrest set-up….that one was just to get some shots in….

I have a black duracoated Savage mod 110LA, 26″ .280 rem. custom barrel by Benchmark Barrels, carbon fiber stock from Stockade Guns and a crisp 4oz trigger. I have put countless hours of work into load development and it is capable of 1/4in 5-shot groups (I have video!). Sadly, on my elk hunting trip, the dumbass “hunting buddy” that came along with us may have f**ked up my barrel permanently. It’s a long story, but he chambered a match load into the gun (SMK seated into the lands) and then handed it to me, so I went to eject it (assuming it was a hunting load, not a match round he grabbed from my ammo box) and it stuck. We headed back to camp, and he said he would tap it out with a cleaning rod, but before I could even grab mine, he pushed a fricken rusty steel rod in it and routed it around to get the round out. 👿 Idiots…..

my BDL was manufactured in 1989.
the BDL was the ‘deluxe’ model (at that time)
it has the magazine floor plate that allows emptying the magazine from the bottom (ala Mauser) and had a better stock, a more refined finish and a trigger that’s one of the best out there from the factory I’ve ever had the pleasure to own.
it does have a heavy barrel…VERY heavy…24″ with a 1:14 twist rate that enables it to handle up to 70 grain bullets with ease according to my number 11 speer and measures 0.750″ at the muzzle.
i have it installed in the Choate Ultra Sniper stock for the features it offers…the sliding, slanted, elevation bi-pod placement, pistol grip, full floated barrel, adjustable butt plate, a built in rear elevation screw and with an aluminum full action bedding insert.
it’s a VERY heavy rifle (weighing in at a hefty 14 lbs on the bathroom scales!) but then it’s intended for sit in one place and ‘snipe’ at game/target with astounding precision.
