Soda Cans 700 yds-Pepsi Challenge RECORD
Hi All, On the Cast Bullet dedication here by TOFAZFOU, Charley/Roachcreek has a video of longest air rifle shot, 615 yds…Single can and reading the 11 pages that included that feat, he said he couldn’t do it again that day….I never read where he tried again or not? Couple weeks ago I set up 3 Soda Cans at 700 yds…Busted all 3 cans. I had shot previously at the RAM at same distance, so knew I could hit cans. Also just put up another can after and as was going to change to different weight bullet…Started camera again….Took to much time dialing in as over berm in grass or under in grass and didn’t know where i was hitting at all….When finally hit the berm dirt way left of camera and can i zeroed in and hit the 4th can but camera was off by time i got back down 700 yds……the busted cans was with a 92 gr fb cast lead bullet.Was extremely difficult to hit….Could hit close and around can but only 4.8″ high by 2.6″ wide, very small at distance……..Condor .257..Also the cans I hit were in the order I shot at, starting middle first. by the Core of Army Engineers 45yrs. ago with a modifitied M-14 Rifle . Now just think that today it is possible to be able to out shoot a center
fire rifle of yester year . You Sir , have my deepest regards in your endeavor to max your shooting abilities with your PCP air rifle . I love all
aspects of shooting and I have taught all of my chrildren and grandchrildren to enjoy the sport of shooting and that they do not have to be an
expert shot in order to enjoy the pleasure of shooting , that they should choose for theirself at what level they wish to shoot at . I wish you all

Thanks BIRDMAN but the .308 will out do an airgun……I shoot F-Class to 1000 yds and no way air can compete…… Where your .308 at 800 yds may have 30+ moa my air rifle has about 158 moa……..If i want to shoot CLOSER i have to remove scope and screw DOWN the ramp of scope mount to get back to 100 yds……It isn’t practical but just trying to actually see how far i can hit something. And how far that is going to be. It is a real challenge…………Have shot 3 times to 800 yds on steel RAM but only 3 hits too……..Thanks for your kind remarks and commenting………………Carl
rifle 50 , shooting a soda can at 700 yds. with a high powered PCP air rifle is a feat in its’ self . My best war kill in Nam was measured at 618 yds.

Thank you……….It isn’t easy being easy……… :suprisedn: It is getting very difficult as range gets further out or targets smaller!
I am going for bigger targets now to see more hits at the 800 yds next …………Carl
Best feat I accomplished at 600 yds with an M24 US Army sniper rifle was killing a Budweiser Bottle. Third shot of 6. I accomplished that in 1983 after finishing the US Marine corps Scout-Sniper school. The Us Army school was back up and running till mid 1987.
Yes i DO the Kentucky WIndage at times……..I have 3 video’s posted on these forums at 700 yds now, so not luck.. It is Perseverance, planning, correct tools for the job and execution…….AND the harder you work, the luckier you get :biggrinn: Thanks for commenting…………Carl
