Soft touch

please, your opinions and experience regarding “soft touch” finish. Is it durable? how do you maintain it?

do you know if the material ever “wear away” leaving exposed areas of wood?

I don’t own a gun with a soft touch finish, but I have spent some time with an FX Bobcat. I can say the feel difference for me was more favorable of the Bobcat’s finish versus the hard synthetic stocks or even wood stocks. This soft touch material is just that, and it felt more comfortable where ever my hands made contact with it. It has a tactile appeal similar to the appeal of car interiors with soft touch surfaces; they are feel-good surface, in my opinion. Yep. I was impressed by the soft touch on the FX Bobcat. Great shooter too. .30. If I had to define it a bit more, I’d say that on the fingers it feels like a light brushing against someone’s arm. (did I say that…?? :smilen: )
