Some accuracy observations today
Thought I would share something I found out today about accuracy and how these guns can be finicky. It was a nice day today without any wind and decided to zero my scope which I remounted last night.
Went through all the procedures such as setting a site in target out 75 yards and making sure the center line was level (using a level) so I could make sure my scope crosshairs were level with the gun (level on the gun too). Used a laser bore sight and adjusted the scope with my adjustable rings so the scope was centered to the rifle frame. This is the procedure I’ve always performed.
Set the gun on my steady point rifle rest and began shooting at the sight in target and noticed that they were all over. When I say all over they were dancing around a 2” grid. Started to get pissed off and decided to take a break for a while. Came back and decided to try and shoot some pine cones off a tree I have 100+ yards back. After a few adjustments I was consistently nailing the pine cones so I decided to go back to the target. AGAIN all over the freakin place.
Went back to the pine cones and again was nailing them consistently. Decided to try something different with the sight in target and this was shouldering the gun like I was doing with the pine cones but resting the front end on the front Y of the rest. Accuracy was there and took out the center of the sight in target. I then put the gun back in the rest but this time clamped the bottle in the rear jaw instead of being just rested and the accuracy continued.
What I found is that this gun likes to be cradled and needs to be butted up against something. Holding it loose will make them fly. I’ve debated over getting the WokButt but after seeing what I saw today I can really see the merit in these.
Hope this helps someone else out there that may have been having the same issue. Sometimes I thought I was just having an off day but as accuracy sheet on the reference section says you have to be consistent in the way you hold these.

I have a tendancy to shoot better with reactive targets. If I get paper out at 80 yards, I do horrible groups, 2 and 3″. But I can stick paintballs out at the same range, and hit them every time. I think it’s just enjoying watching them pop. Plus, with paper, after a couple shots I start to try and work really hard to group the others well, and they start flying.
What is important to me though, is mos accuracy. (Minute of squirrel) And the condor seems to excell at that.
Glen, the WOK butt definitly helped me with consistancy and accuracy. I also found that if I adjusted the butt off center, but with the butt still verticle, it is a nice custom fit for the ‘frame’ of my body, everything just lines up so much nicer. Of course these adjustments can vary from person to person, everyone is built differently. There is also 3 verticle adjustments up or down.
Here’s the adjustment that works well for me. You might want to give WOKs butt a try lol.

Lama, I kinda know what you mean… sometimes I can’t group on paper that well, but I’ll smack the paintballs everytime, and the paintballs are the same size as the circles I draw on paper.. But hitting Paintballs at 80 yrds is pretty damn good, haven’t tried that distance yet.
