Someone help the new guy out
What are the differances between a Talon, TalonSS,and a Condor? yea,You guessed right,im new to modern air guns,however not new to shooting. Can someone answer my stupid questions before i spend alot of money?

The Reg Talon comes with a 18″ barrel and the frame is shorter
Better to get yor feet wet with a Talon SS
Unless that is if fhe condor has the same length of the SS
If thats the case go with rhe Condor
The AF line of pellachi guns are very adaptive

My little SS Talon is a compact .22 hush hush killing machine
My .25 20″ Talon is, well, an absolute longer and bigger more powerful killing machine
Both my Talon and my Talon SS are very silent, thats the best thing about them, take of the hush hush and the noise they make are unbelieveable

Regardless of the diferences, i assume you ask because you are considering wich one to get. right?
My advice would be, to get a talon ss AND a 24″ .22 barrel.
(or a .22 Condor and a talon tank 🙂 )
That IMHO is the BEST configuration you can have with an AF rifle.
Consistent, 40FPE of power, very accurate, and not as noisy as the condor.
no built in shroud when you run a 12″ barrel and requires a longer shroud when running an 18″ or 24″ barrel.
The Condor is what you want if you’re looking for maximum power right out of the box, but an SS costs a lot less and gives you the best “middle ground” if you’re inclined to tinker with mods and customizing.
I wouldn’t consider a “standard” Talon, but only because of the shorter frame.
Whats wrong with the shorter frame?
They’re all basically the same gun, they just have different features, and performance-wise, you can turn a Talon into a Condor (or vice-versa) with just a few parts, a couple allen wrenchs, and a beer or two.
The Condor is what you want if you’re looking for maximum power right out of the box, but an SS costs a lot less and gives you the best “middle ground” if you’re inclined to tinker with mods and customizing.

Talon and Talon SS have 12″ barrels and a valve set up for more shots and not as much power. Condor has a longer barrel and a hi-flow valve that is set up for more power. The Talon SS has a longer frame than the regular Talon that acts as a shroud to make it quieter.
But all of these guns are set up in a modular way to allow you to mix and match parts, and in particular to allow you to swap barrels and tanks/valves. Combined with the availability of custom parts from various folks, they make a great platform for creating whatever kind of gun you want.

I bought the Condor .22 cal. 24″ barrel that come with the Hi-Flo valve.
It’s capable of good groups at 100 yards.
I also bought a 12″ .177 cal. barrel and shot it for a while with both the Condor Hi-Flo valve tank and with the CO2 tank. The CO2 Tank gives a lot of consistent low power shots but is attached via a Hi-Flo valve. Even though the CO2 has a constant 1,800 pounds per square inch as long as there is some liquid in the tank, I found it good for plinking with the .22 cal. barrel but over powering for the .177 barrel especially if using the crummy Daisy FN pellets. They punch paper nice but are sloppy loose in the .177 barrel. I had one get flipped and dumped most of my CO2.
I plan on getting the Micro-Meter Tank next so I can have a truly quiet Low Power Condor SS with .177 cal. barrel. I’ll use up my Daisy pelllets and not buy any more of them.
