Q:

Somethings out of whack..lol..

I changed scopes again..this one had the mil dots which are very useful now on my extra close shots,but.. I zeroed my gun at 20 yards..dead on..
I then shot it at 30 yards, it was 1 inch high and 1 inch to the right..?? 😕
the 1 inch high I can under stand, but the 1 inch to the right..?? so I then shot it at 10 yards..even more puzzling..1 inch low..which is ok..that equals 3 dots down..but this time it was 1 inch to the left.. 😕 why dead on @ 20… shoots to the right @ 30,and to the left @ 10?? thanks!

Some pellets will spirial in there path from left to right . I know it happens to me . On one rifle I have at 15 yards I hit 1 inch to the right at about 25 yards its dead on and at 40 its about 1 inch to the left . It ihappens with powper burners as well .Marvin

Another cause could be that your scope is not optically centered.

Are you using a tri-rail? I was having problems with my scope focusing but I noticed my tri-rail is very slightly twisted & canted to one side. I think when I was tightening down the scope the optics were getting tweaked. Off the gun the scope nice & clear.

Again just my thoughts—reset the barrel —reset and re-zero the scope…think the barrel is shooting from left to right—-close range pellet is still left of center verticle—further out somewhere it crosses center verticle and beyond that it crosses verticle and ends up on the right side of verticle.

I think your scope is pointed to the left of the extended barrel center line.

I thought this, but why would it shoot left close up and right far off?
I cant get it in my mind what i’m trying to decipher..

Just like you have it zero’d vertically and at some distances it high and some low. You just have zero’s horizontally at one distance. I have the same prob on 2 of my guns. I need to work on that one of these days.

scope may be canted – or you may be canting — or whe barrel screws should be loosened and re-snugged — I’d try loosening all 4 of them — snugg the bottoms first then only a slight snugg on the ones on the side —clean up you scope and re-zero——-or try give a good amount of up adjustment —if the pellet is out further to the right with a up adjustment — there is something not straight- probably the scope.. if that makes any sense…give it a try— i go thru that process every time i barrel swapp—-

i agree

also put a small bubble level(walmart had em) on the gun and scope make sure it is all level when mounting it
when i did my condor i put a 1 inch level on the scope rail and ontop of the turret when they were both lined up it was perfect
