Sound comparisons
All test were done with a Talon SS with 24″ barrel and powermodded valve, shooting Kodiaks at 1020 fps. The shroud is a compact 11″ long, and was made by me.
It is very hard to tell how loud or quite something is in the video. But when I shot the SS unshrouded, it rang the crap out of my ears, and vibrated stuff in the room. Both the Gamo shadow 1000 and my Glock airsoft pistol were much louder than the shrouded 24″ SS.
Mostly did this because I got bored doing homework, and my parents weren’t home. And don’t worry, nothing was destroyed in the making of this video.

Excellent Bikini – Shot inside without the shroud reminds me of the first time I fired my condor, Was in bedroom and my ears were ringing for a WHILE.

It is difficult to tell in that room how loud your guns are. The difference is apparent though, the shroud definitely works.
You inspired me to film my .25 from the muzzle. The camera was about 3′ from the muzzle, I was shooting from my porch out to my target area. The shroud is 12″L x 1.25″ID. The core is nylon, drilled much like a blodnob core, but its only 3″ long. There is 3″ open space between the muzzle and the core.
You can hear it raining outside.

That’s a 31gr Kodiak @ 965fps; its quite a bit better than my old rubber-washer setup.

You shot it enough with shroud, I dont think you would tried it the other way around. The jesters spoke louder than the sound.
