I am interested in adding a gauge & fill port to a non spinlock setup.
Don’t want to add a couple inches to the stock length of pull with a regular tank adapter.

This spinlock conversion may be the answer.

You need the spin loc conversion from airforce. Then you will need to drill and tap a 10-32 on the side in line with the groove in the collar.

A spin loc collar will not work because the new collar has a head on it and sits in a recess in the frame. I have converted 2 of my guns by boring the groove in the frame but it’s a pain to do.

Here is my .257 that I cut the rail off of before I did it. Had to take and put a piece of material back to support the frame. Actually worked better the when the rail was on it and supported it better.

Mischief,

If I am not mistaken, the only mod to the frame is moving the set screw for the collar from under the grip to the side so as to be able to access it easily. That just calls for drilling a hole and threading it.

Now as for the collar itself, you can replace it with a spinlock collar of as I have thought about doing is take the collar out, screw it down snug on the bottle, slide it back in place and tighten the set screw. With the built in foster you do not need to be taking it on and off, so who cares. I was not even planning on moving the set screw. Once I mounted it I was not going to need to take it on and off much anyway.

To go from the old style to a spin loc. AF told me that there is some drilling/cutting/milling that has to be done to upgrade an older style Condor to the Spin loc.
