Spin-Loc vs Quick Detach for Talon-P
Ordering a Talon-P this week, what are the advantages and disadvantages of the Spin-Loc vs Quick Detach?
I see the Spin-Loc has gauge and Quick Fill adapter on the side, but does the tank quick and easy to remove and install for say packing in back pack?

buy the spin loc for $3 you can convert it to quick detach tank
You don’t need the wrench. Just leave the lock ring grub screw tight and unscrew the spin-loc like a quick detach. I do it regularly with no problems.

Hey John I cannot unscrew mine from my TalonP like you are talking about, the gauge and foster fitting hit the frame. (See Pic below)

Isn’t quick detach quicker to detach? Spin loc you need that little wrench. I like the Spin loc better, but it might be slightly easier in the field if you had 2 quick detach tanks filled up to bring in the field and switch. But its pretty close. Spin loc just seems better to me.
I leave the grub screw tight and remove and replace my spin-loc tank just like quick detach. Spin-loc is really “easy fill”, so choose accordingly. Its weird that AirForce offers a choice, since there’s no advantage to “quick detach” that I can see.

Thank you. Spin-Loc Talon-P has been ordered, talked with Tony and will be ordering a couple TT goodies for it in a few days. 😎
If I want quick detach for convience of quick assy in the field and/or packing multiple tanks on long treks, yet also want to retain at least the pressure gauge, (fill port would be nice too), are there any options?
Watched this video for $3 quick connect conversion and your TTTA for Spin-Loc video, (excellent production work by the way).
