Q:

Spin Lock won’t budge and Tank is stuck.

Thought I had it moving when I spun the tank but now it is dead locked? Anyone?

Thanks

Thanks guys. I will drop some oil in that set screw hole good idea. Also I have to remember to get that adjustment collar moving before turning the tank.

Mine was wanting to stick right from the get-go.
Moly should work. I used silicone.
Glad you were able to get it to unscrewed.

oakey , try putting a little oil in set screw hole so the oil will penetrate the screw threads on spin loc tank . also are you using the wrench that came with spin loc ? you need that to loosen that nut that tightens to spin loc tank .

I thought about that but I don’t own a strap wrench I am sure my neighbor does. But it was too late to go bothering him. So I put the AF tool on the adjustment collar and held it firmly with my thumb and wrapped on it with a pair lineman pliers finally getting it movin. When I freed it I put some molly on the inside threads and have been screwing it back and forth on the bottle to get all the threads lubed. I was not the first time I had problems with this connection.

thanks

Id take a strap wrench to the tank while holding the spin-lock collar with the wrench.

It was the first thing I did. Tank moved now it won’t move and the collar adjustment is locked as well.

Isnt there a set screw ? Did you make sure thats loose or take it out ?
