Q:

spiraling???

hi guys. just wanna know exactly what caused pellet or bullet to spiral? in my LW .25 barrel, ive tried many pellet at various speed, ive even tried casting my own. im still not sure what caused it. i have not tried installing another barrel. i can do half inch grouping of 5 10 shots at 50m with jsb king, but i wonder if i can make it pellet on pellet. ive tried various speed from 500ish to 980 1000fps, spiral still there. ive tried flattening the skirt, id doesnt do much different. but a very light scratch on the pellet head will cause erratic spiraling. ive tried may different pellet and jsb is the better one, but spiraling still exist. i tape this using casio cam. i can do pellet on pellet at 33m but spiral still there. at 33 the hole is about 1.5x bigger than the diameter. i know if i can eliminate this spiraling problem i can get them tighter. ive even tried cast bullet in various shapes. could it be my barrel? crown? any idea? cheers guys

Thank you for the input. What do you mean a counter weight?

lots of factors to check

like barrel harmonics, a counter weight might help
also barrel length, changing the length like cutting .5 half inch at a time can be done
also the crown, better re crown and make it a true 90 deg with 11 deg crowning
also the twist of the barrel is not correct for the power and caliber

also a .5″ at 50 yards is good, making it 1 hole is nice but the thing is, are the shooter capable of doing it,, :biggrinn: :biggrinn:
