Sportsman HV Update

Shot a whole bunch this weekend – both guns the SS and the HV—ran some numbers on the HV and squuzed off 30 shots –string looks like this–staring from shot #30:

972… pretty damn good high 1007 low878 avg. 969 es 129 😥 sd 37 —- if i were to cut off the last 10 shots the avg would have been 988 with an ES of 94 snd SD of 20….not too bad — the gun is very accurate in 25 yard range –and there is no poi shift at the extemes of velocity produced by the rifle…at 25 yards that is– BTW this string was shot with JSB 15.9 grainers…will post more in a few minutes- gonna refill and pull out the 18.1 grainers and shoot 30 from 3400psi.

—high 963 low 861 avg 936 es 102 SD 27—noy bad either—Id say thats 30 useful shots —-Id also say that 25 shots may be the ticket for this rifle–wanna try some 21 gr Kodiaks in this puppy —18.1 grain jsbs are very accurate in this gun as well…Experimented with the 14.6 gr Beeman FTS and couldnt hit a 1″ target dot to save my life at 25 yards– chrono says there going way too fast at 1114 fps…1128fps 1141fps… thats way too fast…- none the less the HV shoots the 18.1 and 15.9 perfectly…..start pressure and end pressure numbers –start 3400 psi after shot 30 1700 psi remained in the tube… thats alot of air—will post some groups shot this weekend with the HV in a little while — bout to order some jsbs and kodiaks ..
