Hawke or UTG/Leapers. Ive had my hawke eclipse on my 470 and the utg 4-16 on my 350 magnums with no issues. My 350 killed a rws scope with 50 mm end bell. They exchanged it quickly with no issues. I have learned to stay with smaller end bell so less mass on the front end of the scope getting whipped and if you can stay with a side focus that will eliminate the moving parts up front also.

I think the Leupold , SWFA , and nice Hawke are probably the best trouble free springer scopes .. I might put Vortex on the list but havent ha enough experience with them .
Cheap scopes probably the Bushnell AR line and Hawke Vantage have best track record in personal experience.

I’m wondering how long the Weihrauch scope will last on the HW97K. I’t not a “high-end” scope, but those German designers generally know their stuff.

quote Blacktalon6:

I know this too well. My .22 RWS 48 killed 2 $175 scopes in less then 1000 pellets per.

I’ve got a 48, too, about 30 years old. Seems to kill all scopes over time.

Any suggestions, Joe, for the most “springer-proof” scopes?
