What you regard as fun tony (the forum owner) sees as his business. Something to think about when you’re on here for free.

For KS , I was only fucking around and decided to go fishing and see what I could catch . Guess what , you ended up as the catch of the day .
Must have used the right bait and hit a nerve . :fishinghole:    Can’t wait for my next fishing trip .

Actually this section does not use the term PCP, it clearly says “Bullpup General Chat”. No mention of PCPs. As a manner of fact this forum is called Talon Airgun yet I have not once discussed a “talon airgun”. So Birdman what do you think, we only discuss Talon Airguns since that is the true name of this forum?

So lets solve this issue with a logic sequence…
The forum is called Talonairgun.com: airgun forum, air rifle forum.
A place to discuss “airguns, air rifles”.
Spring power plant guns propel a projectile by compressing air
air rifle is defined as a rifle that fires pellets using compressed air.
Spring powered guns are a classification of air rifles
Talon air.com a place to discuss spring powered airguns.

See that wasn’t so hard now was it.

Well since we maybe starting a new topic on Springers which is not a PCP gun and is listed only as a pellet gun I think that
we should open this forum to two other topics as well . (1) Yoyos, and (2) Sling Shots . Both are still a major commodity in
todays’ market , one can make a killing in making money and the other in pest control so both could have a place on this
forum . After all you can only say so much about Springers . What do the rest of you think ? Any yoyo or sling shot fans out
there who would like to add these topics to a PCP forum ? :fishinghole:

Sling Shots .

That is really a great idea,,, you remind me my childhood when i had a sling shot,, it was really enjoyable for us ,,,we were very poor and very limit to buy a chines springer rifles i never able,,, so,,we had to go and look around the street in order to find a used or useless nylon gloves of the labors ,,which hardly got luck to get one which not spoiled because of the cement effect …. we never able to get as much as money to buy a new pair nylon gloves … so this was the only way for us to get it… and also we had to look for a leather shoes also to make the place of the stone …this was my short story of my life in childhood when we made a sling shot by our hands … now..i own 4 Matadors with almost all stuffs that i need ,,, this is a grace of my God,,,im always thankful ,,,

BTW; i was really had a good skill of how to use the sling shot … 😛

i do agree with you the BirdMan … lets open another section for sling shot …

Brother joe,,,very good and wise idea,,,i do agree with you and i do vote for you ,,,,

we all must thing how to develop and improve TAG … this is another way to make TAG even more improved forum,,, i also started with my Kral springer rifle ,,,which was very powerful …i put a bad scope on it which i never able to zero it until the main spring broken ,,,, and i sold it out and decided to study more until i found a Benjamin Marauder,,,then jumped to Edgun …. i also still think of buying one springer just for fun …

Kayser,,, that is very good idea to convert them to PCP addicted like all of us now ,,, we all crazy now ,,,

By yemminni, I think I’ll dig out my old R1 and sling a few pellets in my back yard, then come back and talk about it! I used to love shooting it and back in the’80’s I thought it was the most tack-driving air gun I’d ever seen… My how times change… sometimes though It’s fun to step back and rediscover things forgotten…

Tony added it !! Hope you guys chime in and talk shit !! Even Oakey when his banned ass gets back. Lol

Thanks Brian . My backyard range is at the VERY longest 45 yards and where its most convenient is only 38 yards . With a really good PCP that shit gets boring FAST !! But with a springer its still challenging . I’m wanting to try my hand at Bench rest and I been practicing like crazy !! And the targets they shoot at 25 meters ain’t no automatic with a springer . This time of year I’m working 10-12 hours a day so going to my shooting range just eats up too much time so I just grab the FWB and sit out back and go for it . I’m hoping Tony will start a springer section .
One of the guys left a message saying a springer section is why he left another forum ….HUH ???? That’s like bailing on Skin Flicks because you don’t like chicks with tattoos ??? WTF

I used to be a hard core springer guy. I know it seems crazy. I think most people start their airgun journey with a springer. It is by far the simplest platform for a new shooter. I remember many moons ago when I only owned a spring gun. I was hunting some quail off a log when the devil’s messenger appeared in the form of a man. This “person” saw me hunting and he approached me asking what gun I was using. Of course I had my RWS springer and a few quail that I had taken off a log. This person compliments my shooting and informs me that he too is an airgunner. We walk together back to his pickup truck parked off the side of a fire road. This jackass pulls out this crazy looking gun called a Theoben PCP. He put the gun in my hand and tells me to “take a few shots”. The stranger (who is now a good friend) knew I was screwed the minute I pulled that trigger. I have been a PCP addict ever since that day.

I still enjoy reading about springers after all they are the foundation of my airgun love. I saw Joe’s post shooting his springer at 50 yards and I think that interesting people like Joe make for an interesting forum. I vote that Talon adds a springer section, and who knows maybe Tony will even sell springers one day.

My vote is “yes” to a springer section, even though the pcps rule. I still have/use a RWS Model 48 (.22) which is 32 years old and tuned by John Thomas. It’s a great “knock-around” gun and helped rid the property of many types of varmints. Though the accuracy is never going to match the recoil-free pcp, many folks own springers and there’s a lot to learn in order to get accuracy out of them.

Not enough interested? What, like the Benjamin Armada?

Good plan Brian !!! Lol…. Can’t wait to see how your website looks . I’m hoping Tony adds it , but there honestly might not be enough interest …Its cool of him to consider it though !!!

I like the idea. That way I can go into the Springer section and corrupt them into buying an EDgun.
