Squirrel nest in auto engine compartment
I have a Condor AAA in .35 on the way from Tony… and have a specific application for it.
Currently in North Carolina (Tryon Area) on vacation.
Took my Ford Flex in for oil change and service at the local dealer… lo and behold, they found a very large squirrel nest x 2 in the engine compartment. Besides that, the vermin had chewed through the supply hose for my windshield washer tank – no windshield washer fluid comes out and tank leaks like a sieve.
We have only been here three weeks, but the dealer told me that this is a common problem here and that they get at least one car a week in with nests in them.
First – anyone have experience with the nest problem?
Second – how about advice on stalking squirrels?
My position has long been that squirrels are just rats with a better Public Relation Firm, so I have not any moral problem dispatching them.

Sooner or later Synus will chime in on this one. He is THE MAN when it comes to squirrels. I have killed maybe 100 he far exceeds me in kills (and videos!) I use bird seed in a bowl (in a good spot or shooting)
I even put 2 3/4 sheets of plywood behind the bowl as a back stop. Some use peanut butter and other things but regular bird seed brings them in from half a mile. Have the screen open on the appropriate window so it is quiet raising just the window. I use a .25 and head shoot them they never move. Dispose of appropriately!
