Nope none are legal.

If a device can be REMOVED from an airgun and ATTACHED to a portable firearm and diminish its report, that device is then legally defined as a silencer. The trick is the sound supressing device must be an integral part of the airgun that cannot be put on a firearm. Examples are the Talon SS frame and the device on the end of the Gamo Whisper. These can’t be detached.

Read below link. Good article.

If they have innerds they are all silencers, where are you from some places frown on these devices, 1 covers the barrel and 1 clamps or screws on the end of the barrel. Such things are not to be used on a firearm, airguns do not fall under firearms codes.

If you want to reduce an SS on CO2, it may end up absorbing noise. LOL!

The legal in the US question is one of those debatable things. I’m offering a summary of what I have heard, not legal commentary!

It would appear that the key point is whether or not the device could be readily used to silence a powder burner. For me, that sort of says that devices that insert into the frame are pretty much OK as they are not readily attached to a barrel. Many people have a barrel attached silencer on a long barreled Talon/Condor, so you will have to get their comentary on why that is not in jeopardy.

Relative to reducing an SS on CO2, I would guess that you are talking the need to go hammer slap quiet. That implies one of the higher performance professional devices like made by Anthony or Don G. I use a Frame Extender on my Talon SS’s (One with a 24″ barrel and one with a 16″ barrel). It is just a tube with a hole for the pellet at one end, but it silences better than stock and it meets my needs for shooting out the back in my woods. Every now and then I think of taking the Frame Extender off the 24″ barrel as I usually shoot it on CO2 and it is already pretty quied; but then I would give up the option for HPA at a low sound level.
