SS screws for 22 Mutant
I come across a small supply of stainless steal screws that fit the 22 mutant, I really do not care for the look, I like the black screws.
and with SS going into aluminum or steel you have to treat the threads with anti seize or something.
anyone interested in a gun farkle ?????

Probably he means bimetallic corrosion.
Similar to when back in the days people used aluminium wires in houses and with the combination of electrodes/contacting each other when metals too far apart on the list here https://www.bssa.org.uk/topics.php?article=89
The more apart are from each other on the list -the higher effect is present
Long term you would get corrosion and thus arcing /fires in houses for example. And that’s why all wiring is copper now

I am just repeating what I was told , I do not know squat about mixing metal’s,
I have a couple of bikes that I changed out all steel bots and screws for SS bolts and screws,
My local bolt place told me I had to put some ant seize on the threads……
Made since to me at the time .

SS screws in aluminum and some sort of corrosion …. Your smoking some bad weed !!
better tell the Marine industry and all those that build outboard motors used in salt water or fresh that there stainless fasteners are wrong … laughable :rofl:

I do not remember where the screw went but I had to buy a Titanium screw, for one of my bikes, It was a small screw
Went down to my local bolt sale place, All they sell is bolts, Had to order it , One blot was like 45 dollars.
oh I remember it was a cam slot bolt 10mm.

What about Titanium screws IDK but heard they don’t seize into aluminum, but bling bling.

I do not blame you guys I installed them in my gun and the shiny screw look, Looked funny,
and as I said when the SS meets another metal it needs a anti seize compound on the threads,
I learned this the hard way from my Motorcycles.
I am sure there are people on here that can explain this in a very tactical way, I am saying just do not do it,

Where it gets dicey is when you use stainless on stainless. That will get you in trouble and hurt your feelers 🙂
