Q:

Standard diviation any online calculators

I have the F-1 basic model, will up grade to teh printer as funds allow. Anyways most the formulas are pretty easy to do FPE is easiliy comverted, Extreme spread also easily converted, Now the Standard diviation is another matter. Anyone know of another formula or a online conversion program? For those wondering the standard diviation is a measure of how closeeach shots elocity will be to the “Average shot” shot. Which is done by taking a 10/20 shot string adding all the numbers and deviding by number of shots, this will give you the avg. fps. The forumula even on a calculator would have a guy frustrated in no time. Thanks!

Thanks for the info. While I’m waiting the SS & Condor to come , I’ll try it out on some of my other airguns.

Thanks for the Excel set up. I will be needing it soon, when my SS comes back from Tony, and my Condor 25 comes from Van & Martin.

YN, I appreciate it, looking at the formula provided with the chrony theres no way i’ll hit every number, decimal point without a mistake, then there is always calulator errors and you start all over 👿 . Thats just to figure out avg fps on 20 shot strings can be a pain. I’ll check it out, thanks

I use Excel to calculate all my stuff. Have a blank template and just enter the shooting data from that day.

All I have to do is put in the date, gun, pellet name and weight and then enter the velocity results and it will calculate FPE and all kinds of other stuff and I have a good accurate record to save.

I dont do that good a job of explaning how to do stdev in excel… so here’s a link
