Q:

Steel drum meets .25 Cricket rifle w/ 47 FPE from muzzle

Shot this at 30 yds, and figure maybe it’s 35 FPE at the drum? Haven’t recovered from the last time I shot my Chrony, so I didn’t put it out there to check.
It’s over at the Yellow.

Awwww..thanlks for posting SECoda. Good to see another deer lover on here. Looks like she had twins? We had one that had twins this year too. Isn’t that a salt block out there also? Love it.

We throw corn and are overwhelmed with backyard deer as well. Sometimes in the summer I will throw them apples and stuff. If we forget the corn they will sometimes walk around the front of the house and look in the breakfast room at us eating. 😆 They walk right in front of my targets when I am shooting. You really need a 30 cal. Now that I have mine tuned I am really loving it. The way to make a small fortune in airguns is to start with a large fortune. :biggrinn:

If you don’t buy the .30, saving a cool 2k, that’ll buy about 40,000 .25 pellets. However, you can delay the purchase of a .30, buy a pile of pellets for .25 and let the .30 improvements in design go forward. Then, you’ll already have the .25 pellets you need and there will be no reason not to get the .30, which you know you want 😛
As for the deer, the ones around here got immune to firecrackers being shot at them with a high-power slingshot!! They just moved out of range.

Bog, I enjoy the deer. I buy corn for them, and also keep a salt block out for them. The ones that come on a regular basis know my voice. The little chihuahua and my old Boston Terrier enjoy chasing them around the back yard. The deer will run into the woods and come right back out as soon as the dogs get back on the porch.

I think as long as I don’t get my hands on a .30 cal to compare I’ll be safe. I have spent a small fortune in the last 4 months? About a grand a month? Gotta put the brakes on for a while.

Man, I’m shootin’ a tin or two a week of the .25’s at 5 cents a shot. If I move up to .30 then it goes to 11 cents a shot at the lowest. Quit tempting me

This method works every time.

When you step up to a “magnum” airgun it will only take one shot. 30 cal – 44.75 gr – 76 fpe. 😛 :2cents: 😆

Man, that’s a sweet lookin’ piece of steel SEcoda. I wanna see the video if you make one!!!! Man, I’m shootin’ a tin or two a week of the .25’s at 5 cents a shot. If I move up to .30 then it goes to 11 cents a shot at the lowest. Quit tempting me 😯

Then I can’t hit the side of a barn. 😉 I need some kind of a rest. Pistols is another story.

Maybe you should start working out so you can hold and shoot that “magnum” gun instead of having to strap it down like a little girly man :-).

It’s always amazing what these .25 Crickets and Edguns deliver. Bet that’s loud! …and fun

Now if they would set off tannerite :suprisedn:

It’s a little noisy but I’ve got acres of woods around my place, so I’m not disturbing anything but the wildlife.

I’ve been feeding the deer just off my porch and they will even venture out when we’re shooting the pellet rifles, but doubt if they would stand for those loud arse barrel shots?
